The state of Illinois' unclaimed property program under the new Revised Uniform Unclaimed Property Act is a little over six years old, with various adjustments and changes that have transpired since its inception. This webinar will provide an overview of the program, followed by a discussion of compliance requirements, voluntary disclosure, self-audit and audit practices, along with best practices for escheatment. Join David Hughes, BDO, and representatives from the Illinois State Treasurer’s Office for an informative webinar that will provide an overview of the Illinois Revised Uniform Unclaimed Property Act. Representatives from the Illinois State Treasurer’s Office will also provide an update on its reimbursement efforts and overall compliance expectations.
